When I open up resource monitor, I see this thing occupying about 25% of my processor, and doing nothing with it.

Suspending the process frees up the CPU usage, and doesn't effect the running of the computer what-so-ever. :confused:


Why would they make part of an operating system that uses up so much resources that does next to nothing?
 
Yeah I read that link before posting here, but it doesn't explain why I can go into resource monitor, right click the process and press suspend with no negative side effects what-so-ever.

Seems odd that I can disable it and nothing bad happens
