Where do you all get your tassimo discs?
I can't believe there isn't a 3rd party market for them!

The coffee machine. I was looking for advice on where to get the tassimo discs, as they're fairly expensive.

I was also exclaiming my surprise that a fairly expensive product, without DRM, does not have a thriving third party market to fulfil an obvious gap in the market.

A little bit, yeah, but that's irrelevant. A cool company needs a cool logo. You think those guys over at nucleus are hiring a convicted felon to paint a mural on their garage?

Why not just make your own coffee instead of paying over the odds for these pods? Profit margin on them must be like 3000%

Amazon do a subscription type deal on tassimo discs.

Can get 5 x packs for £15-20 which is a fair bit cheaper than in supermarkets etc.
You can set the frequency that amazon auto post them to you :-)

Read your post again.

That would be the IP conflict which P&G or Braun would aggressively attack were such 3rd parties try to attempt to fill the obvious gap.

I agree the profit margins must be astronomical but first world problems such waiting for the kettle to boil need to be addressed :-)

I generally get mine from the Tassimo eShop and Amazon depending on who's cheapest at the time. The Tassimo eShop generally have discount code offers every so often (10% off £40 spend etc) just keep your eyes on the website. Amazon sometimes have these sorts of offers as well.

If you haven't already sign up to Quidco and Topcashback as if your purchasing of the Tassimo eShop you can also get cashback on your orders.

Why would either of those companies care? They have no stake in the Tassimo brand.

Anyway, there's no unofficial Tassimo pods (in the UK at least) that I'm aware of, but as Valo says you can usually get decent deals from Amazon or the Tassimo online shop itself when they run a discount code. Supermarkets sometimes have them on offer too.
