Hey peeps i have a question about cpu temperature monitoring as im sure you gathered from the title.
now my system (e6300 + DS3)is currently orthosing away quite happily at 2.94ghz and 1.392v according to CPU-Z. However TAT reports the temps as 60c, speedfan reports at 48c while coretemp claims 49c. i was until just now happy to accept 60c for my chip under orthos load however after looking at a screeny of someone elses 6300 running faster and on more volts than mine, it was at just 45 in TAT under orthos load using air cooling. (i cant remember the thread). now i am using a 9700 Zalman, i have 1 120mm fan at the front and at the back for airflow so very simply, which temperature setting is wrong and if TAT is the truth bearer, why is my e6300 running 15c hotter on less volts and a slower clock?
