Tattoo malarky.

Yeah it's a little difficult to make out, but you get the main design of it though don't you? :)

I've got another one which I'm definately getting across the top of my back/shoulders. But this one is a close contender! Should be between 10-12" wide maybe? These one's may cost more though, the tattoo artist I'm thinking of going with costs me £50 an hour (he's an independant artist, and a 3 month booking wait!), so it just depends on how quick he is ;).

Any of you guys know any good studio's up in the West of Lancashire?

Try Aurora Tattoo in lancaster. Emma is brilliant but she may have a long waiting list. Waiting to get her to finish off my tattoo she started at the manchester tattoo show. Spent 6 hours getting my thigh done and gawd knows how many hours it'll be to finish it.

As to the OP, i agree 110% with Penski, if you like it get it done.
Granted the 2 tattoo's i have on my back mean some thing to me, but the one on my thigh is some art work by Simon Bisely that has never aged.

**** 'meaningful' tattoos.

useless BS peddled by armchair experts who have watched three episodes of miami ink.

Get what you want here you want.

My thoughts exactly, with regards to the position i would say some where on the back would look ok.

there are a few nice ones on there, which surprise me!
a nice maori one for a shoulder and a nice gladiator style one which i really like!

I'm not a fan of it myself but if you like it that's what counts, however I don't really see where that tattoo would look best on someone, I don't think it would fit well on someones arm or chest.

How big are we talking for this? Maybe I've just got this in my head as something really big.

I'm not a big fan of the design, but each to their own, can only see it fitting on your back (big) or if you're having it smaller then as said a pec or maybe going around your arm?

better than the usual tribal malarky you get nowadays plastered over everyone...

Whatever you do, don't get the standard tribal...please...:p

So sheepish.

How original, just like everyone else with a maori ta.

of course its not ****ing original you spanner, they are all in the 'popular' items.
nobody said it had to be original and i didnt state it was, just that there was a nice one.

dont be such a muppet.

like many through the last few centuries. look at people from the same age group, you will see similar styled tattoos. thats life.

1. I've got one that has meaning already, got that two years ago and I'm pretty fussy when it comes to tattoos. I'd have more if I wasn't so.
2. I'd design one myself, but when it comes to technical drawings and the imagination like that I lack somewhat. I'm hardly going down to the local tatoo shop and saying 'ooh I want that one' and deciding on the spot, I've actually saved this tattoo to a favourate, as well as one or two others (which would be more expensive!). I'm thinking about what I want and damn - I'm annoying myself on how fussy I am.

Sorry, i was pointing my sarcastic remarks at the naysayers. I'm completely on your side :)
