Girl Discovers She Has 'Supermarket' Tattooed on Her Stomach
Durham: 19-year-old Joanne Raine has discovered that a tattoo on her stomach actually translates as 'supermarket' rather than 'Roo', the nickname of her boyfriend at the time. She and that boyfriend have since parted company.
Raine went to Skindeep Tattoo Parlour in Northgate to get the tattoo done and selected three Chinese symbols on the wall that she believed represented capital r, capital o, little o. She has indicated she is considering complaining to the parlour.
"I was outside a Chinese takeaway. I went in for a laugh to ask what I [SIC] meant and they said supermarket or shops. I was just embarrassed. My friends have been laughing at me. I cannot cover it up and it costs too much to get it removed," said Raine.

Sorry, don't like! Tribal tat's on skinny pale guys = lose. (I don't mean that in a harsh/offensive way, I'm a fairly skinny pale guy too).

No worries no offence taken, although thanks for the compliment, not been called skinny on looong time.
bah u've just revived my desire to get a tattoo! Wont just yet as im a tribal fan and a skinny pasty white guy due to injury. But once im back on track the muscle will go on and tattoo as a reward.

Hah, I've had a few tattoos done there.
Yes, if you get one it has to be original, there is nothing worse than having the same tattoo as someone else, although I am tempted to get

I know a very good tattoo artist. (Mark, Metal Guru, Stocton-on-Tees)
I'm wanting the outline of Antarctica over my heart as soon as I can get the time together, but it's not very easy because all his time gets booked up very quickly.

didnt turn out too bad!
A little off topic but.. when i was 20 many years back i done some home made tats on myself and some friends i used the guts out of a bread knife machine and glude 4 needles to the shank and wrappet cotton around the end of the needles and dipped them into indian ink some times the cutter would slow down becuse of to much pressure applied i must have been mad.
ps.Allso i would test the machine out on different parts of my body not thinking lol come to think of it i was not right when i was young.
