Doing a mission where i've just blown up a boat and stole a Buzzard but the controls are so bad I can't blow up the boats that get away near the end! Not sure what I should assign the chopper controls to, anyone got a good set-up?

Switching to first-person view helps as it has a crosshair for shooting.

I used the num keypad for forward, backwards, left, right and WASD for up, down and rotation.

Christ almighty, just did it with the default controls and it took me about half an hour just to do the boats and the landing. Thanks for the heads up i'll change the controls now, didn't anyone play test this on the PC?

Why would I use a 360 controller when I have a mouse and keyboard? Also, if this was configured right then I wouldn't have to whinge! Loving it so far though, way better than GTA IV.

Mouse is better for most games on PC, but not GTA. It was designed for a controller, and it works a lot better with the controller.

I agree flying is reasonably tricky on PC, but I have no major problems with it personally.

That's the only mission that gave me any difficulty on either platform tbh. Really wish the chaingun would do the auto aim like San Andreas did :(

Reminds me of that rubbish flying mission in SA when you fly through the hoops.

Like others, I found it much, MUCH easier in 1st person view. At least then you don't have to worry about the camera being soooo slow to catch up to you.

yea xbox 360 controller is what you need. I know it sounds gay but some times you have to bend over and take it deep in the arse when it comes to pc games as there all ported so poorly.
