So I thought I'd offer up some feedback for potential future TV buyers on the above brand.

On the 7th May my TCL TV that I bought from AO in November 2021 developed the some issues with the back light that was visible on just about everything I watched.
I called their customer services team on the 9th May to raise a warranty claim and got sent an email to which I had to reply with the usual range of info, model no, serial no, proof of purchase etc etc.

I also had to include an image and the below is what I sent, specifically the bottom of screen and the 4-5 dark patches is what I'm referencing.

This was accepted as a valid claim almost immediately and was informed wait for further contact.
On the 13th May a company call Equinox contacted me to state they would be performing an onsite repair, the parts had been ordered and was advised the delivery could take upto 30 days.

If I'm honest I was a little puzzled by this part as they had essentially diagnosed the fault from my single crappy image of a white screen.
On the 16th May I get a call asking if they can come to do the repair 23rd (today) and as I'm working from home I say yes.

This morning 2x technicians turn up at 11am, get the TV off the wall and commence stripping it down in my living room, I'm working in my office upstairs but can hear the comms between them.
The do 'something' to repair the TV which includes taking the full panel out (I saw this when I checked on them half way through) but when they put it back together they see that there is some 'tape or glue' now visible on the screen.

They have to undo it again to remedy it and here's where it goes downhill. In the process of the 2nd strip down they break the bezel housing and then somehow render the panel dead when trying to extract it again.
So I've gone from a working TV with some minor light issues to a totally dead unit.

Have to say that upto this point I've been fairly impressed with response of TCL and having spoke to one of their advisers I've been told to expect a response within 48 hrs of today so lets see if I get anything by Wednesday.
Honestly I expect a totally new TV given the bezel break and non working panel but lets see.
