Pretty sure this hasnt been posted yet, it's not on the first page anyway! :o (Bugger, just realised it was posted in the official tdu thread :()

http://forums.eu.atari.com/showthread.php?t=80081&page=1&pp=30

Apparently it's gonna have 46 new cars, at a cost of 9.99 euros or something. And it's supposed to be released in weeks not months. Not that i would hold Atari to their word in any way...

Although the amount of cars is nice, is it a case of, too little too late?

Its posted in the TDU topic if u looked. But still i dont think many ppl look in there these days so probably deserves a new topic for this. Tho im ******* if im gona pay for a car pack when it should be free, i mean look at loads of small developers like egosoft giving new missions, ships for free in their patches. I hate this idea of pay for add on content ppl do these days like bethesda for oblivion and now atari with car packs.

It is. Atari failed with TDU, which could have been a superb game. A lot was promised and nothing happened for what could have been such a promising title. We were meant to be able to custom tune our engines, and various engine upgrade downloadables was part of the package but never happened.

I still play it every now and again on the 360, but mostly to just cruise around and bump into mad racers over xbox live. Never bothered buying the car packs though.

They don't seem to have grasped the idea that they need to stop churning out cars and fix the fundamental issues with the game itself.

Lol what.

They FINALLY release the other cars and expect us to pay for the wait? How long has it been since they were due?

ABOUT A GAZILLION YEARS.

Wouldn't mind paying tbh, if they made it easier to meet up with people online when you wanted too. If that worked every time this would be one of my fav games.

A bit late for TDU now :(

If the car pack was free, I'd download it and give it another play. But as you have to pay for it I probably won't bother.

The game was ok I guess, but the multiplayer side was a waste of time and limited. Did they ever get rid of the cheaters ludicrous times etc on the online score boards?

Don't think I'll be buying the new pack. I'll just get bored with them very quickly because the handling is more or less the same with every card anyway.

Maybe they should make the game better before they announce spaffy car packs! (imo)

I just hope the sequel has night/day transitions, weather and for once let me find my own sodding friends ffs (360).

That was the one thing EVERYONE was looking forward to and it ended up a joke that you could be in the same spot as a mate, yet be on a differing sub-server to him. <-Not sure if that applied to the pc version.

This is the exact problem a mate and I had. The utter randomness of the sub-servers destroyed the game. They need to make it more of an MMO and figure out a way to have everyone (or a lot more) people on the same server.

woo new cars, thats another 5 minutes of gaming then boredom again

one can only hope when/if they make TDU2 that its everything TDU SHOULD have been, and then some

TDU was a let down by pretty much all accounts, useless online, not a lot to keep you entertained once youve driven all round the island, hardcore mode should not just be low grav mode, no weather, no wipers, no day/night, limited range of sounds, limited range of handling

Everyone had massive plans for TDU before it arrived as you lot now know. 360 gamers everywhere formed clubs (clans if you will) even OCUK. That died in less than a week once we all realised we had to rely on luck to bump into each other in the game. It was pathetic. I only saw 3 OCUK'ers ever, out of well over 40 odd members. Everytime you enter and then leave a building/garage/house you automatically end up on another sub-server, which makes things even worse!

I've not bothered with hardcore mode, and I still can't pass The Tantulus...I still love driving around but there's sod all else to do. In car view becomes pointless because the windscreen gets clogged with dirt too.
