So I coughed while drinking tea and it went all over the place. Including my keyboard. I've whipped off the keycaps and applied copious IPA so it's just a case of waiting.

I suppose the keyboard needed cleaning anyway. :)

Never learned my lesson with my dearly missed cat Morpheus, he ruined 3 cheap keyboards back in the day in about as many months. He used to jump on my desk and see how far he could tip the mug, would have several attempts before legging it as it finally went over. One expired with small amounts of smoke emanating between the keys, almost worth the cost for the amusement value, both for me and the feline in question.

I would have kittens these days as have upgraded to optical mechanical with unicorn vomit, it would be a costly game now. Hope yours survives the experiment.

They are tough in my experience, i have never broken a keyboard in the 35 or so years I have been using them.
Broken a mouse a few times, broken laptops but never once a keyboard.

Just make sure it's dried properly... I saw a video years ago with some guy washing peripherals in his shower.

Oh yes, the very old keyboards could be washed under a tap (in a soft-water area) then left to dry in an airing cupboard.
