Now that result would be very interesting

I'm hearing 'The default Time Spy CPU test does not scale beyond processors with 10 or more threads.'
what's a stock/clocked 3700X and 3900X do roughly?

It scales fine with a 3950x : https://www.3dmark.com/spy/11735086
using the free basic edition
SystemInfo
5.27.826.0
GUI
2.11.6866 64
15995 so close to the 16k club

sure fire me over a 3DMark Advanced Edition key then other wise ill go play some gtaV NaturalVisionNow test timespy extreme against my 3950x which I linked and report back
Corect you must use Timspy extreme if you want proper cpu scaling.
mad you can see if you use the free timespy test it thinks the 10900k and 3950x is on par and that's just cause it stops scaling after about 10 cores. Use timespy extreme and the gap will widen with the 3950x scoring significantly higher.
if you want something to test against, you can use my 3950x

scores just under 9500 points. A stock 10900k scores 6100 if I remember correctly, let's see how much closer they get with overclocks
Not really, high core count CPUs blow right past low core count CPUs in Extreme but in the free test they score the same after about 8 to 10 cores

You've just parted with £540 for a cpu but can't be bothered to part with $30 for full access to the benchmark suite that tells you all you need to know and tweak about that shinny £540 cpu ?
In fact there are plenty of places to get it for even less than $30.
Don't forget the 'ripoff' z490 motherboard too! oh no wait same price as x570...
I knew that was coming, tbh this test will most likely favour the higher and MUCH higher amd threaded cpu's which is irrelevant to 99.9% of games of which I play. rather put £30 into a steam game.
Mmmmmmmm, £24.66 actually.
Joined in 2015 with 132 posts....................................................suddenly starts posting in an Intel thread about a new CPU that no one is interested in.........................trying to justify buying said CPU..........................can't be bothered to part with £24.66 for the full 3dmark.
Now call me suspicious if you like, but that all smells to me like an Intel Plant into the forum as a sleeper. It certainly would not be the first time and no doubt, won't be the last.
I think most would come from the fact that it's a short lived socket/chipset and that its current comparative AMD processors don't need X570 - which is better featured than z490 with pcie 4 - and can also slot into the cheaper B450.Don't forget the 'ripoff' z490 motherboard too! oh no wait same price as x570...
If that is the case, why didn't you just buy the 10600/10700k?tbh this test will most likely favour the higher and MUCH higher amd threaded cpu's which is irrelevant to 99.9% of games of which I play.
