Team Frotress 2 stability problems

Had some TF2 stability issues. It would crap out around 15 mins in, and my video card would get in a tangled mess, where only a reboot (not even a restart) would fix it.

Weirdly, I have had no such problems after closing all the internet browsers, and specifically the Steam window. Anyone experienced problems like these? My money is on flash player, hardware acceleration maybe, interfering with the games.

Close your web browser when gaming and minimise steam.

A quick update / necro (on a still fresh corpse).

I've reseated the GPU and not getting any problem so far.

Grrr computers...

Symptoms were :

- random freezes around 10 mins in a game.
- mostly happened with a browser opened (but wonder if just coincidence, just increased likelihood).
- looping sound.
- 10% of the time the drivers would recover.
- temps and voltages ok.
- no overclocks / overclocks no impact on stability.
- 10% of the time a graphical texture glitch before the freeze.
- Mostly related to source games for some reason, some games would be fine.

Solution :
- reseat GPU.
- reseat TV tuner card.

Hope I didn't speak too soon and it's not an actual vram issue.
