Hello,
I have recently built a new pc that I am currently tuning. The parts are as follows:-
8700k - (24/7 Delided 5ghz @ 1.275v) (max 5.2 @1.4v)
Asus Maximus X
Asus 1080ti
Team Group 8 pack 3600 Memory
Last night I found the limit of the memory to be 4266 @ 18 20 20 44. Using Time Spy Extreme, I found these clock to make no difference in my benchmarks compared with the XMP 3600 @ 16 16 16 36, including every step between 3600 and 4266 with the 8 pack timings. I only use the PC for mining and gaming, where would these higher memory speeds boost performance if it makes no difference (within a 50 points of each other every time) in benchmarks? Am I testing it incorrectly?
Sorry if I am being thick and using the wrong software and thank you in advance for any advice.
Zach
