Hi, I purchased 32gb 2x16 team group 8 pack ram from ocuk and it has gone bad. Was intermittently getting asus q-code error 55 and it was really annoying, this was rn upgrade from the same ram but 2x8gb sticks and I still have them so swapped them over and all seems fine again, trouble is I can't find the receipt for the faulty ram and can't even remember whether I bought it on line or from the shop as I have made many purchases either way. As there is a lifetime warranty on the ram would I still be able to get it swapped without receipt? I really want to go back to 32gb as the 16gb isn't enough. What do youbguys think? Thanks in advance.

It's ok guys, I found the invoice, rma number emailed and ram was sent back today, Thank you Overclockers UK and those who replied here, I'll slum it with 16gb till I get the 32gb set back.

Outcome was good but just 2 things I want to state for anyone in a similar situation.

1: If you can't find the receipt/invoice that came it shouldn't matter. When you log into your account on the website it will give you an order number starting with OC that should be good enough to start an RMA process by itself via web note.
2: Since this RAM is an in house design, it can't be purchased anywhere else anyway.

Alos Jim let us know if the replacement RAM fixed your issue once arrived. If not we can help further troubleshoot.

Hi, thanks for your post, ram received today, so I'll let you know if all is OK once I install it. I'm sure it will be absolutely fine though as I am using a 16gb 8pack kit which I upgraded from and placed them in the same dimm slots and it's running perfectly fine also overclockers I believe tested the returned ram and found it to be bad.

OK, new 32gb kit installed and booted great. set xmp and not so great, reporting instability, switching back to default and everything's fine again, so my 16gb 8pack kit 3600 works fine with xmp set but the new 32gb kit refuses to run 3600 profile. WTF ???????????

32gb places much more stress on the IMC compared to 16gb
might need to bump the voltages up to get it stable
I did use 32gb before, this is replacement ram after my previous 3600mhz 32gb set went faulty but was fine for over a year at xmp. I have tried a manual voltage bump 1.4v but it still isn't stable. I have set it to 3200mhz and it's fine there so I'll just leave it there.

Personally rarely found XMP reliable on any generation or architecture - I think the only setups I've been able to fire and forget it has been some Ryzen 2xxx builds with 3000-3200MHz RAM. More often than not I've had to manually enter the main settings and leave the rest on automatic (or take the time to fine tune).

the IMC voltage may require a bump, not just the memory voltage
