I bought some of this: it's good ram, but apparently it's 'single-sided' Hynix chips or something, and despite the clock speed, 2400 or 2133 'double-sided' ram is better.

Yeah, found that out after I'd splurged...
Still works fine for me, but Mr 8 Pack says it ain't too great for benching...

Im not a bencher, im a gamer so would that be ok. Ill just stick it on xmp settings and probably leave it at that.

Yes, 8 did say that it was still good ram. Just maybe not the best.

With prior knowledge, I'd have gone for 2400MHz, but now I have this stuff, it works fine, so I'm not too worried.

£20 difference at the moment. Is it worth me spending the extra or is there really no point and just get the 2400MHz. Sorry I don't really understand memory and need advice in this sort of area.
Leaning towards the 2400MHz if its better.

Anyone know if this stuff is using binned Samsung IC's ?

^^Not sure what that SKU is in terms of IC.

I doubt its Samsung though probably Hynix.

Thanks 8 Pack - Is there any Samsung IC mem that you know of that you would recommend with a similar spec to the TG ? Needs to be 2x8gb.

2 x 8gb Sammy IC. No man!! No one would put such a great IC on 2x8gb. They save these IC for max clocking dual sided 4gb sticks.
