Named after the god of fire in Greek mythology, the Team Vulcan is the combination of high-end craftsmanship and top-notch technology. The short version heat sink of Team Vulcan prevents difficulty in installation due to large and bulky heat dissipation device of motherboard. The arrow-shaped opening design helps increase heat dissipation. In addition, the explosively red color combined with diamond cut pattern not only shows great texture but also the crazy sensation of over-clocking speed.

Made of chips from major manufacturers, Team Vulcan passes series of harsh testing and verification procedures which have proven its stability and durability. Currently, DDR3 2400 CL10, DDR3 2133 CL11, DDR3 1866 CL9/10/11 and DDR3 1600 CL9 are available to cover the mainstream Dual- and Quad-channel specifications that pretty much satisfy the demands of players of all levels.

Using the TG Gold 2133mhz as the 2400 was out of stock but its also good memory as well had it up to 2600:-12-13-13-30-1t.

Some of the red kits use tighter timings, (ie c10), this allows more headroom for overclocking.

If only it was black and not gold...

It mentions in the review that the slack timings could reduce performance in certain apps. What apps would these be? Will it affect gaming performance?

The review tries increasing the frequency - I'm more interested in if this can have its timings tightened at 2400MHz beyond the C11 it's rated at. Anyone tried?

Edit: I guess wazza's answer here suggests it should work

Edit2: Some on order now, I guess I'll find out. Wasn't planning on going for anything nearly that fast given my CPU but it's cheaper than most 1600MHz kits so... (I assume it's basically the same as the TG Orange 1600MHz C9 kit but with different XMP settings pre-set - I won't use the XMP settings anyway so no downside, hopefully higher resale value when I punt it later on)
