on the moon!
just purchased this last week...running at stock...no over clocks yet!!!...

but i just noticed i get a score of 7.8 for memory in win 7 64 bit.... down 0.1 from 7.9 with corsair lp 2133.... is this strange? as its meant to be faster? should it be same score surely???

timings 11,11,11,31 on the corsair..! does this have an effect with score??

any help would be appreciated lads :)

Don't look at this crappy windows thingy...
It shows my overclocked gtx 780 as with rating 6.0 ...
Its worthless.
A rating of 6? Bit strange there. 7.9 here on everything except for the cpu at 7.8. Not that i put much faith in wei tbh.

yes same here 7.8 cpu score..everything else 7.9....until i changed memory, this is why am asking...should it not be the same as it was? running faster memory!!!....weird!

It's running at 2666mhz? Performance might drop off at that speed with those timings, try setting to 2400mhz and see if wei score improves,if not try 2133mhz at 9-10-10-21 timings

I'll post a screenie when I get back home.
I updated that rating after installing brand new evga gtx 780 ( which is on 36th place on our firestrike extreme bench list ).
As far as I remember only 3D graphics and gaming graphics was marked as 6.0, rest was at 7.8 and 7.9
Thats why I am saying that windows rating is rubish.

you where right!!!

just lowered speed to 2400mhz , i left the timings and vols the same! and now i got a score of 7.9..wtf!!! performance seem to drop off in windows test at higher speeds...

so over all then..am i losing performance running these at there rated speeds?

I wouldn't worry too much, the Windows test is about as un-indicative of the actual performance of an item as you can get.

not really worried....just strange how it can change to a lower rating when im actually using faster hardware!!!...

actually upgraded my ssd as well from a 120 s evo to a 250 evo..then gave me 5.9 rating at first....untill i changed it to rapid and performance mode... back to 7.9!!!.....wtf windows!!! even with out the rapid and performance mode it should still rate 7.9..shouldn't it?

Bench it with some 3d stuff to compare. Windows score testing is worse than worthless, it's ancient. You might find it favours latency though which is more beneficial in a 24/7 system anyway.

use aida64 or maxmem to see the read/write/copy figures

high freq/loose timings arnt always better than lower freq/tight timings

Don't trust WEI, I ran two tests in two days and two numbers changed by 0.1 - don't worry about it :)
