Hi,

My friend and I are about to start some serious PC gaming and I was wondering what the best party chat software is to use?

I was told Teamspeak is the main one but I seen a lot of stuff about Mumble also.

What do you consider the best? (or another program if the case).

Thanks

TS seems a bit more stable, mumble can be quite useful but there is a not completely uncommon problem with it and infinite feedback loops on some configurations.

Never used Teamspeak but I can say from experience that Mumble is fantastic! It is very easy to set up and configure and can be skinned.

Mumble always sounds like ass in my opinion, Teamspeak all the way :) I host my own locally for friends when playing online, super easy to do.

If it's just between friends use Skype. We've had games with several people in a conference call for hours without problem. Plus, it just works and the audio quality is great :p.
