Tearing on video out

Hi guys. I am getting bad screen tearing on my setup when viewing sky+ on my TFT. I have sky connected to the PC via svideo (x1900xt) and then out to my TFT via DVI.

Any hints or tips on how to remove the tearing?

Software;

win xp pro service pack 2
Cyberlink powerdirector to view sky (is there a better FREE software?)
X1900XT with cat 6.2
Philips 20" Widescreen TFT @ 60hz

Sky is connected to x1900 via svideo and monitor is using the DVI connector.

Im a total noob at this.

I have figured out that the tearing is caused by the video being set to full screen on the secondary monitor. When viewing video in full screen through primary its fine.

Problem is powerdirector has no option for full screen on primary unless anyone knows how to set the ati drivers to put video full screen on primary display?

If not then is there any software that can do this (view video in full screen) or I may have to buy a TV card.

try Dscaler. hundreds of options and settings to customaise to get your picture quality just right

Yeah I tried Dscaler but the picture is a bit blocky.

Is it running VMR9?

You should be able to clean up whatever image problems you have in dscaler, VLC might be another option

Sorry for sounding like a total noob but what is VMR9?
