I'm getting really bad screen tearing on my Xbox 360. I'm playing it on a monitor via VGA. The monitor is a Hyundai L72 or something. Anyone know how I can fix this or will I just have to live with it? It's annoying but it's nothing major.

It's all down to how they are programmed and if the developers ensure to wait for a vertical sync before switching framebuffer.

If they don't and just switch framebuffer whenever then you'll see the tear. Usually done when the game engine cant sustain 60fps, and they don't want to set it to a fixed 30fps, or have it jumping between 30 and 60 fps depending on how long it takes a frame to render.

Disgusting lazy programming, ring up the game maker and demand your money back.

Seriously miffs me off that they cannot sort out V-sync issues, even though they know about it, even though its been campaigned against (dead rising) but cant be bothered as you've already bought the game, muppets, hope for bad things to happen to the lazy money grabbing companies who release sub standard trash.

I feel better! :D

What I find really weird is that on Dead Rising I got no tearing when I had my TV and 360 in my bedroom (window behind TV) now that I have it all in my sitting room (Window In front of TV) the teraing makes the game unplayable for me.

Does room lighting have an effect?
