Why why why do they hire these people who have no clue about the product they are trying to support!
At 10:02 i recieve an email from BT saying my email password has changed, i quickly login and check, my password hasnt changed, but just incase i change it anyway (also wanted to compare the emails).
The 10:02 email and the new one are identical.
So i call up the BT support line,
lady answers the phone, her initial response ;
her " the time on the server might have been wrong, so it showed it as 10.02 rather than the time you changed it"
me " seeing as i didnt change it till after the 1st email, thats not the answer "
her " some times they refresh the servers and that might have caused it "
me " some times as in once every 10 years? i've never recieved an email like that before? "
her " one sec, i'll have a look at the logs for your account, please hold "

her " seems there was a problem with the billing information, might be worth phoning the payment line "
phone them
their response " its not us, but if you didnt change it, it might have been sent by mistake, please delete the email " ?!?!?!
so here i am, not sure if my account was opened by someone else or not
