Is there any known issues with these?
If I just do speedtest with one device it's 15mbps
However when I multitask on several,
So laptops downloading at just 1.2
Youtube keeps buffering at 1080p
And yet one third device on speediest.net it's still saying 6 down.

So is it known to be a rubbish router?
As it's about same speed as last place albeit last place was fiber and this is adsl2. And last place didn't have these issues.

Single band wireless N router with only 10/100 LAN ports. I don't think it has a reputation for being a rubbish router, but it's certainly an incredibly basic one.

I had one set up in bridged mode on Plusnet and it needed rebooting several times a week to prevent it randomly dropping connections to certain servers.

Is it possible to just use it as a modem and pass it through to a different router. I don't think i'll get the password for the account off the landlord.

I definitely had it bridged when I was using it with Be back in the day, it was setup as a bridge with Plusnet as well but I had a block of IPs from them so it wasn't purely a modem.

I take it you have a single dynamic IP and want to just pass this through? If you can get telnet access then you might be able to pull the details out.
