From a JVC car radio instruction manual regarding the use of an external USB drive
"This unit can recognize a total of 15,000 files, 500 folders (999 files per folder # including folder without unsupported files), and of 8 hierarchies"
Now,
I get the idea that I can have up to 500 folders (Albums?) on the USB drive with up to 999 files (Songs?) in each folder (Provided the total number of files does not exceed 15,000) IE, the sentence up to the #.
But what does the rest of it mean?
Does it mean that I can have up 8 layers of sub-folders provided I do not exceed the stated file/folder limitations? Or what? And what does the "Including folder without unsupported files" bit mean. I am not even sure that makes grammatical sense let alone anything else?

I thought I had worked it out but it is nice to have it confirmed.
