Hi guys
I have an old Toshiba tecra A9 and have used it for years.
Bios password has never been changed and I have always used the finger swipe to get it to POST and fire up.
This last month or so for some reason the finger swipe has stopped registering my finger swipe and its not accepting the BIOS password it has had set for about 7 years.

Is there some way to reset this as it's now 1 step from being binned as I have trawled enough to get the old heap working and getting close to CBA now. Even just getting the damn swipe working again would be handy as it will recognise my finger.

Thanks in advance as always.

Two things come to mind:

- If you haven't had to type the BIOS password in for 7 years, how can you be sure you have the right one?

- I'm guessing the fingerprint reader has had it?
