Redcar has a balloon show this weekend which should provide some photo oppertunitys, it's at Kirkleatham showground and though i don't know what time or day i'm going - i'll be making a appearance there, saturday is most likely as there is a 'spectacular fireworks display' at 9.30pm

if anyone is interested, let me know as it'd be nice to go out and shoot with someone else for a change :D

It's my eldests birthday on Sunday or I'd be up for it. I already had to forget about Croft this weekend. I doubt I could drag her away from her important myspace and MSN for long enough to get to Redcar and back :(

Their website mentions Stewarts park BTW

Linky

it's definitely not stewarts park - the posters in shop windows all say kirkleatham showfield/museum.

well i went, my 10D decided to play up on me :( apparently the diaphragm under the shutter has decided to break = £60 repair :()

took a few shots with my nikon coolpix but they were nothing to shout about and i was pretty disappointed with them so they went in the bin. i was well gutted coz i had so many oppertunities for an 'emotion' shot but the nikon just didn't have the reach i needed.

oh well, i'm off on holiday tomorrow, my 10D is useable (just) - got to press really hard on the shutter so it's better than nothing.

Other good news - i bought a 42mm lens from a car boot today - 135mm F/2.8 meyer optik Görlitz (no - i've never heard of it either :D) but it was only £1.50 so i thought what the....

seems ok though
