I have been to the dentist today and as usual he has told me my teeth are superb and there is nothing to be concerned about. I have never had a thing done with my teeth.
He always seems surprised as though it is rare (im 33) and everyone I know bar one person seems to have umpteen fillings etc.
Now the thing is about me which is unusual is that I have never used toothpaste. As a kid i couldnt stand the stuff. So I use water and a bit of tea tree oil as a disinfectant. The other person who I know and has had no work done either rarely uses toothpaste as well.
My Uncle who is a retired chemist did studies on toothpaste a few years ago with fluoride and came to the conclusion that they actually rot teeth in the long term and not keep them from decaying as claimed. Typed in bad and fluoride and there seems to be a lot of info on google.
Maybe a conspiracy to keep us buying the stuff!
Maybe im a one off but was wondering whether anyone else has experienced this? Not a big concern of mine but intruiging nonetheless.
