So from 24 of July to 9th of august I'm off work, and have decided homelessly wondering the country on a motorcycle is a good plan, will borrow some camping gear for the more wild stretches

a very crude route modified from a ride one and just swinging by most of the country

if you've got any recommendations of towns/roads to visit post em up, and if you'd like to meet up for a drink/ can offer a bed for the night/show me around town post up :p

Also any tips you've found if you've done similar :D

Tbh the route atm was just using the motogoloco. Site to get a rough route the flags are just where I manipulated the route and the roads are the auto select it was just to get a rough idea.

As for Europe let's just say I'm combining this with let's all it "adult" couch surfing to meet some folks who are normaly too far to travel too, I do have a few people who want me to extend it to Ireland lol.

Europe next year :p

But that's what I want advice on routes/towns as so far no real plan.

You have a flag that appears to point at Ringwood? Or is it Salisbury \ "the road between Ringwood and Salisbury"

Don't go to Ringwood- it's just a normal boring little town. Christchurch / New Forest towns are much more 'lovely' if that's what you're going for

Was just where the route I modified original started lol

Pretty much like Wales :)

Had a sheepie on the road today we was quite well behaved much more so than the squirrel which went to the promethious school of running away from things and decided to run straight down the road in line with my tyre lol

Waves at Tefal as he passes through Cumbria :)

when i go ill keep updated with my location (is there any site or software that lets you do that so people can see how you're progressing?) so when im near feel free to say if your free to meet up for a drink or a hello :p

Any specific reason you're missing out the gower? one of the best parts of south wales imo although st davids and Pembrokeshire are beautiful too.

Because atm I've basically just drawn a rough line around the country with no stops planned yet which is why I'm asking where's good to go.

The little coast road up from St Ives (Cornwall) is nice.

Also needs a bit more of a wander around the Lake district to see everything.

Lots of spots in the Peaks are popular with bikers too.

Well I've got enough time for diversions.

Your route on the east coast looks kind of boring around the Midlands, I would be trying to incorporate more of the Peninnes/Yorkshire Dales (or North York Moors) and the Peak District. Otherwise you're pretty much just cruising on dual carriageway for hundereds of miles.

For the 20th time the route is basically a blue crayon scrawl to show the rough areas I'm planning to visit not the specific roads

Yes, I read that, however the blue scrawl doesn't actually go near any of these with the exception of skirting the very edge of the North York Moors.

I'll leave you too it though as you obviously didn't want suggestions and I'll let you discovery how boring the A19 and A1 are.

im not planning on going on those roads them im planning on goping through the moors but thats since i last made the picture.

Amen brother.

If you stop off give me a shout and can grab a pint or something.

will do :D

will make a list of toens/places ocukers are who are up for a get together :p

my birthday will likley fall somewhere on the coast of scotland lol

Avoid it, just ride through.

Rhyl is that of a nuclear fallout zone and it's inhabitants are that from The Hills Have Eyes.

North Wales ride the A5 and A470 scenic routes like Llanberis, Bala, Betws Y Coed, Llanrwst, Porthmadog, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Capel Curig, Beddgelert and particularly the road opposite Snowdon the A4086.

Might be lucky and get a glance of Kurt Suttur (Sons of Anarchy Writer) filming his new show The ******* Executioner and possibly Charlle Hanahman and Jude Law filming Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur.

Llanrwst is a nice place to stop for lunch on a sunny day!

I live in northwales so know the place well lol.

Spent the weekend riding all round those places (I cba to retype the Welsh lol) on the bikesafe course.

Absolutely chock full of speed vans though when the weather's nice

Not sure what route you're taking north of Glasgow there, but I'd really, really recommend a visit to the Real Food Cafe in Tyndrum along the A82. Passed through there on a Land's End - John O'Groat's cycle trip a few years back, and it's one of the strongest memories I have. Amazing food, awesome location.

Sounds good. Will definitely check it out.

Anyone got advice camera wise thinking of just using the phone. Drift ghost looks decent but like the go pro I don't really see it getting much use after this

I have a Sony AS100. Great little action cams. Take it on most days out, film something, chuck it the pocket.

I see your bypassing most of the east coast. Scarborough, Whitby are nice places. The road between the 2 is decent ride as well.

that bit is changing im going through the moors and down the coast i just forgot to take the marker off York. (though i may make a detour into york before going abck to the coast) scarbough is a place im going to hit as i have had an offer of a tub of ice cream from a lady there :p
