I got a friend (read: mortal adversary:p) who's quite good at juggling his opponents. He uses Law, and he's learned to chain those backflip-kicks of his in such a way that I never even touch the ground. Obviously if I block the opening couple of moves in his chain then I've effectively broken his "serve" and won the match, but, inevitably, sometimes the initial juggles get through and this guy can basically keep me in the air like a ping pong ball until my life is down to 0! Is there nothing I can do to break the chain while he's juggling me?

throw your controller at him?

(how i used to feel playing Tekken sometimes  )

you cant get out of proper air juggles but you "may" be able to avoid getting hit after the juggle (eg when your on the floor) if you do a quick get up (cant remember the exact button but you press somehing as you "touch" the floor and you spring back up.) it sounds daft but just press all the main buttons and it will still work, or find out what the proper button is lol

basically, if hes doing a proper juggle then you cant get out unless he screws up. after the first few hits where you are near to the ground, you should definitely try getting up quick to avoid it if its possible, though good players will avoid using combos which can be avoided..

also if you are just getting hit while your on the ground, then learn to roll, different directions can dodge different attacks, and if he is timing an attack to hit you as you get up then stay on the ground if it helps to avoid it.

edit- though it does get to a point where people learn the best stuff and basically only use combos which work and use ground hits which are guarenteed, if thats the case then you just gotta live with it, avoid it from happening in the first place and learn the stuff yourself :D

Or use Jack-5 and keep him on the ground forever and don't let him stand back up !!

Plus when Jack hits it really hurts :)

i like the bryan - big sweep, Knee Knee, big sweep, followed up by the big running kick as they are getting up is most effective.

just keep winding him up until he agrees not to be law, and then find another pairing:)

Is Law considered overpowered then? I don't mind him using him, I know he's one of the better characters but I don't think he's that cheesy. Jack I DO get annoyed when I have to fight him, not because I can't win, but because it takes a lot of work, timing, and jumping about for me to win whereas whoever's playing Jack just spams basic attacks which are hard to avoid due to the gargantuan reach of his ape-like arms!:o

I haven't fought against anyone who uses Bryan or Paul for a LONG time - probably around 2 years, and we were still playing Tekken 3 back then. Never had huge problems with Paul but fighting against Bryan made me want to turn the gamepad into a nunchuck and whack people on the head! Is he still a pain to fight?

My main character is Lei, and I have some trouble beating Law with him simply because his attacks are so slow compared to Law's that I need perfect distance and timing. When I lose a few too many I switch to Asuka and just spam her somersault-kicks - drives my friend nuts! :D She's disgustingly cheesy - I'd feel guilty if doing my friend's head in wasn't so much fun! :p I still think I should be able to beat anyone with Lei though - I was under the impression he's considered one of the stronger characters, I must be doing something wrong. I'll practice jumping up faster after hitting the ground, though one of the things I like about Lei the most is the good range of attacks he has that start from the ground. Nothing like turning the tables on someone who was about to slam-dunk you into the dirt!

king imo is the best in the game, get his 2 main grabs set to your shoulder buttons, grabs are almost impossible to stop. kings also pretty fast and hits pretty hard. and if u can learn one of his uber combos u baisically win the match in one move(s).

we play tekken a lot in my school common room, we try to limit the amount of times u can hit someone when they are down, we see it as fair.

or you could just be a complete lamer and bring out christie/eddy and keep tapping those x and o buttons. :p
