Telephone Preference Service.

I placed my home number and mobile on this list in January and in the last 24 hours I have had 2 calls from call centres. Last night I bit my tongue and said take my number off your list and don't phone again, today I let rip on the phone as it may be a simple thing but it ****** me off. The calls were from the same company.

Has anyone else had this after going on the TPS ?

Anyone cold-calling me is VERY likely to get a mouth full of abuse. My numbers are on TPS, are ex-directory and I'm VERY selective about who I give them to. So, any unsolicited caller pestering me is going to get a very unpleasant response, and I'm not upset at all about it. I do NOT want to be pestered by unsolicited commercial callers, for absolutely any reason whatsover. I don't care what it is, what the offer is, or what you reckon you're giving away, I don't want it. And I don't want to take part in surveys either.

So, if I can do my bit to make a cold-caller's day a bit more unpleasant, I regard that as a result. If I can get some cold-caller in tears, so much the better. Maybe they'll get a job for a responsible company that obeys the law.

If you don't want that response, DON'T CALL ME!
