Teletest Teleport on Demand

Should tell you before you put it on. I've not been charged for any TV show I've watched on Teleport or Virgin Central or whatever it's called now :)

Yep it says on screen the cost or Free when you select a programme.

if there is a charge it will say before you press play and will ask you for your PIN but 99% of TV shows dont have a charge, normally just films :)

OnDemand is a genius idea. I was round a mates a few weeks ago and saw it then, there are so many shows to select from, you really can choose what to watch when you want.

Awesome.

And it's going to be expanding in the next few months :)

Can't wait to get a box in my room.

Really? Ace. I'm with Virgin/NTL for my broadband, so considered getting a box just for the free channels/OD, but they want me to take out a phone line which I don't need (plus I only get to watch TV for a max of an hour a week) but in my new house next year I reckon I'll get the minimum sub as I know my mates will watch it.

all it says on mine is unsubscribed but you can still watch it
I believe that means you're not subscribed to it as part of your TV package (it would say "subscribed" if you have XL), but you can view it for free at the moment. I think Virgin enabled it for 3 months for everyone after Sky's channels disappeared.

Don't quote me on that though. :p

Its great! Like having super large DVD collection, I couldn't rate it highly enough! I was thinking about getting Sky after the whole Sky One thing happened, if this stays free I wont bother changing!

it's free on xl tv or £5 a month on the lower packages, well worth it. I think some parts of it are staying free but well see.
