Hi guys,
I'm not sure where to query this but I'm quite certain this is the best place.

Basically I've recently registered a domain name with Telivo and signed up to .Mac (Apple's own all in one webhosting e.t.c.). I was following the instructions to setting my my personal domain name for my published website and encountered this:

Apple said:
Before your iWeb site can be viewed at your personal domain, you must complete the following steps:
1. Go to your registrar's website. Define web.mac.com as the "www" CNAME (alias) for your domain.

How do I go abouts doing that? I can't find any CNAME or similar settings on Telivo. As you can see, I'm rather new at this personal domain thing - I've tried using Forwarding but realised by doing so, my website can't be searched (or work its way up to the top) on search engines...

Any help appreciated :)

Okay, silly question but how do I go about moving my domain registrar? 123-reg seems to provide "Free Transfer" so that is tempting if I can move over completely without spending any more money.

Am quite gutted, should have joined 123-Reg initially instead of Telivo...

It's pretty straightforward: you need to get your current registrar to change the "IPS Tag" for your domain to 123-REG, then just follow the transfer procedure from the 123-Reg site i.e. put your domain name in the box and hit transfer. That'll take you through the process.

Thanks :)

I've just set all up and transfer awaiting, checking IPS. Hopefully all will work fine with the CNAME change e.t.c.

Where do I put the web.mac.com?

The left or right of the "Add new entry"? I'm still very green at this...
