The gfs mams pc consists of a 900mhz celeron, (which i assume to be 370) and 128mb ram.

What can i do to help it run xp in some kind of acceptaboe fashion?

Do they use SDRAM?

Do they have a 100mhz fsb

Best bet is to open up the system and look at the motherboard. You need to know how many RAM slots it has and also what the existing RAM is made up of (2x64MB? 4x32MB?). You can also take a look at the existing RAM to check what FSB speed it is too.

sdram board. some were the older edo type, i believe. the best cpu's for s370 were the tualatin celeron's which topped out at 1.4ghz stock i think. they also had 100fsb stock. older celerons and p3s, and the via's had 66mhz fsb.

Could you not get any p3 that were that socket?

Although i have a bad feeling the cpu will be soldered to the mobo

yeah of course. socket p3's stopped at 1.1ghz, but the tully celerons ran faster and cooler. the smaller cache didnt hamper performance much:)

:editthere were also pIII tualatin cores, but they were pretty rare. this is all for memory so appologies if so of it isnt quite correct!
