hi, I can only use my right arm, and hand, my left arm and hand doesn't work, so I need a headset that I can put on with only my right hand, can you do this with your's?
If so, what make is it, I tried my old one that I had before the stroke, and tried a no name one from amazon, but I don't want to buy blind a second time as it is too hard to get on one handed
thanks in advance, just let me know

Presumably the difficulty is in getting the ear cups apart? Have you tried using something to keep them apart, e.g. a small ruler (or devise something better), so that you can get the headset onto each side of your head on your temples? Then you can pull each earcup over each ear using one hand to finish.

yeah ones with earcups which swivel might be really hard, I couldn't do it with a set of Sennheiser momentum 4's. Maybe look for ones with earcups with less movement and preferably with some natural spacing so not super tight. I can one hand meze 109 pro's pretty easy but they are expensive. Ones like these with a metal frame can be adjusted for clamping force and natural earcup distance making getting the first side on easier

I definitely can and have gotten my sennheiser headsets off and on with one hand. I hold the right earcup, hook the left earcup behind my left ear and pull the right cup around my face and over my right ear.

philips fidelio x2hr are really easy, dual metal band so can adjust them as well. If you need a mic the something like a modmic wireless will do

I can put on my Sennheiser with 1 hand but it’s not easy. It require putting it on the back of my neck and slowly move it up. First right ear, head band then left ear. Using my right hand.

I think it might be easier using earbuds?

that's thrfour votes for the senheiser, looking good!
irst, sorry to hear about your stroke mate.

Second, in my opinion and experience, Sennheiser headphones are pretty decent for not having excessive "head clamping" force.

As such, I feel that I could get my Sennheiser HD598s on with one hand only.

These have been superceded by the following models at around that price-point (slightly below, and slightly above) -- I'd say it could do no harm to check them out:

Sennheiser HD 560S
Sennheiser HD 599
thank you, and thanks again for pointing me in the right direction of the more recent models

I have the Epos PC38X, there are a couple of "struggles" when putting it on.

First, the hardest part was actually extend the headband first. If it is all the way retracted, you are not going to get it on your head, even if you have 2 hands. So need to extends both sides fully and then once it's on, you can shorten it. I just hold it under my chin with the head band (you can even use your teeth and pull.

But to get it on, the best technique I found was do it on the back of the neck first. Or even the front of the neck, with the chin down, squeeze 1 ear cup and then bend it around the neck and put it on that way. Once the headset is round the neck it is then just a case of moving it up the head.

The Black version of the PC38X has less clamping force so it should be easier to do, but I managed it with the yellow version which has stronger clamping force.

Good luck with this.

I have the philips fidelio x2hr and usually do put it on one handed. It doesn't have a strong clamping force and the headband is flexible enough to put on one handed
