Its not an "alien film" as such. Its a film that shows cultural differences between race/species. Has a strong grasp on racism and discrimination too.

A well thought out film using the "aliens" concept to explain the above superbly.

A good film = yes
A good alien film = no

Its not a great movie... but the visuals are quite good and its worth watching purely for the pig its got a message but storywise its pretty forgettable and no one really watches it for the message.

35 mins in and its really good!!! quite enjoying it on the 5.1 with some nice rumbles from the 10"er
