Another Rorkes drift fact the 24th Regiment of Foot were actually at the time the 24th (2nd Warwickshire) Regiment of Foot and the 2nd battalion contained more midland English than Welsh. So no bloody men of Harlech thankyou :mad:
 
My beloved OH has a tiny glass tear duct, called a Lester Jones tube. These have to be made of glass as this is the only material that 'draws' water and allows it to function like a real tear duct.

My mrs' great great uncle was cpl(?) Hitch at Rourke Drift. He won the VC, but years later it 'vanished'.....the family rumour is that it was sold by another member of the family.
His character was featured in the Michael Caine film 'Zulu'.

When banged up you can clear the water out of the Bog by gradually rocking the water back & forward until it tips over & emptys, Once emptied you can chat to the other dudes in the Prison via the sewage system. :D
