Ok, I admit that I have yet to tinker with voltages but my Q6600 (guarranteed to o/c to 3.0ghz) doesn't even always stay at this setting. I have set the fsb to 333 and for a while, two, maybe three weeks it'll be fine then sets itself back to 2.4
Reckon I got a poor overclocker or is it to do with not looking at it a little deeper, voltages etc.
 
Is this after your computer crashes? Mine has a built in protection thing, coupla times when its crashed it clears the OC just in case thats what caused it, just reload the settings - dont know if you have OC profiles in your BIOS but that makes it an easy 15sec job
