I was just wondering if any of you overclocking experts could tell me why I have an E2200 (native 2.2Ghz), that was overclocked at 3.02Ghz, I downclocked it to see if it would hit it's performance at all and the computer seems to perform much more responsively than when it was overclocked. I've left it at 2.2Ghz because of this and it really doesn't bother me, but I was just wondering, why this might be? It's nothing as obvious as temperatures, because it was 37 degrees c overclcoked (board was the same) and now it's 34 degrees for the CPU and 35 degrees for the motherboard. So, any ideas?

Maybe the voltages weren't enough for it at 3Ghz? That could cause some minor instability that would lead to apparent unresponsiveness at times.

Put it back to 3.02Ghz and run Orthos DC for a few hours to test its stability, if it stops then notch the voltage up a bit. I'd imagine 1.35V should do for 3Ghz on the E2200.
