I have an I5 @ 4.4ghz, its running with the OcUK H2 flo extreme water cooler (corsair H60) on the CPU and standard case fans for the Corsair 600TM case

I've got two concerns:

firstly the temps, when under load and gaming the average temps across all 4 cores is c74 degrees. From reading around I get the impression thats high for a watercooled cpu (?)

secondly is the fan noise. Its loud...really loud and I cant work out which fan is causing the trouble. My assumption is that its the exhaust fan connected to the water cool unit as turning the case fan speed up/down makes no difference to the noise but its hard to tell.

Assuming 1 and 2 are linked have I just got a dodgy cooler?

other oc setting:

Clock Ratio – 45
Memory Multiplier – 16.0
Performance Enhance – Standard
DRAM Timing Selectable – Quick
DRAM Timings - 9-9-9-28-2
Loadline Calibration – Level 7
CPU Vcore – 1.365v
DRAM Voltage – 1.56v

I spoke to OC support over the weekend as its a pre-built system, the temps I'm getting are within expected ranges and not to worry.
If it peaks over 80 I should be concerned and call them back.

As its under warranty I guess I'll leave it alone for now.....

I'm still annoyed about the noise, I wonder if changing the exhaust fan will make a difference.

There's one exhaust fan connected to the cooler from what I can tell this is the noisy bugger in my system.

I'm using the stock case fans on the corsair 600tm case and checked they're going the right way (front fan pulling air into the case, top fan pushing air out of the case)

I'm guessing that I could add a fan onto the front of the rad to set up a push/pull and maybe replace the exhaust fan if its possible (and doesnt void my warranty with OC) additionally I guess I can add fans to the side mesh of the case

As to the volt setting I can give it a go and see if i can trim it out a little but not had much luck overclocking myself which is why I cheated and went for a pre-built OC system. Frankly what ends up happening is i panic when the system fails Prime or IBT and worry I'm going to damage the system

well it hit 87c last night with nothing more than SW:TOR and vent running and not even 100% load.

I ran prime 95 to see what happens at 100% and quickly shut that off after it hit 97c. Called OC, got to RMA it back :s

got the PC back today, now running at a nice and chilly 25c idle and 54 on 100% load.

much happier.....though its still noisy :D
