Temp Difference between cores

I have a 5C temperature difference between the two cores on my Opty 165. What would be the reason for this? Running a TT BigTyphoon and thought maybe there is more pressure on the one side than the other. Its a difficult heatsink to judge just how much pressure its being applied on each side.

seems normal actually. mine is about 1-2'C different at any one time..

I don't think its anything hardware specific, Possibly just means 1 core is doing more processing than the other?

these temps are stable at a 5C difference regardless of idle or load.

u could try reseating your cpu heatsink following the thermal interface material application instructions for intel dual cores -www.arcticsilver.com/ins_route_step2intelas5.html- i read about it on another thread here on oc uk it worked for my e6600 only get a slight temp difference now if any

It seems I have a 3-4C difference with my C2D at idle but that disappears when at 100% load running dual prime (only a 0-1c difference).

May try a re-seat but I would think load temps are the more important.

About a 4 degree difference on my IHS-less 4200 X2 here.
