Hi

I have only just bought my computer, so i thought I would see how my temps are.

Now to me, that seems very very hot. I am not running any GPU apps, just Football Manager Firefox and WMP

I have not installed another fan, but i bought one. I didn't get round to installing it.

Any ideas?

thats about right for stock cooler...

with a akasa vortex cooler it makes a big differents. i get 38c ida, 52c load thats with an overclock at 700mhz core.

Ive just installed a 4850 with vortexx cooler and its idling at 50c, it seems quite noisey so i wouldnt mind lowering the RPM alittle, is this possible to do the fanspeed profile fix even with a vortexx installed ? i wasnt sure if not having the fan actually plugged into the graphics card would make a difference

no. u need a fan control...

tbh 50c is high for an 4850 with vortexx cooler ... my 4850 with vortexx cooler idas at 36c, also mine is very quiet on full speed

Hmm i have a fan control , i'll install it in a while

wonder why mine is at 50c then , i have quite good cooling in the machine 3x120mm fans and a 80mm

when fitting the vortexx did u apply the ram heat pads they supplied ? coz i was tempted to just put a blob of AS5 on each one

i put a bit of AS5 on the gpu but didnt spread it around i just left it as a blob about the size of a grain of rice then fitted the cooler on it

I couldn't beeeeelieve how hot these things are at stock! Mine was 75! I've just installed my Accelero and now it's 26, with the Turbo Module. Much much better.
