So I installed a soundcard in my top PCI slot, beneath that I have 2 Gtx 570.

Just been playing some ARMA 2 and exited to find a heat warning for my USB 3.0 connection, I though this was a bit odd as nothings plugged into it and it's a good 15 degrees hotter than any other component in my system. could the soundcard be causing it?

occasionally the PCIe lanes used for USB3 are shared with the PCIe lanes for some of the PCIe slots in the motherboard which could be causing some sort of problem, however its usually the lowest of the PCIe X16 slots that does this.

the only sensible solution ive got is to add a side fan or a top fan to the case to help cool the graphics cards, as the might be heating up the USB3's

It's dropped in temp since I've not been gaming, This isn't the actual warning its the AI suite Thermal Radar, I'll try and get a screenshot of the warning if it comes up again.
