Hi,
I'm having problems with cooling my e6600, at the moment I'm clocking at 3.6Ghz and my idle temps are 51/49, when running orthos I'm reaching 66/64 ! The CPU voltage is 1.5v, memory is at 2.1v. I installed a Big Typhoon with adjustable fan control, the cooler install is similar to the standard intel cooler, push fit. This is unlike a friend of mine's Typhoon which is bolted through the mobo, his cooler is a lot tighter against the CPU than my push fit solution, could this be the cause of my higher temps ?
BTW he has exactly the same mobo/cpu as I have and is clocking using the same settings, his temps are 43/44 idle and 54/56 load.
Many thanks
