Temp sensor

Am after a temp sensor i can put into the top of this

No, that type is for fixing at points inside a case or attach to heatsinks, memory etc. You need one of these which just screws into a spare G1/4" socket.

I did look at them. But wondered if the sensor bit was long enough. With it being at the top.

If it didn't work then they wouldn't sell it. The water is in contact with the tip of the plug which is where the temperature is read from. Another alternative and what I use, are inline sensors that have a male G1/4" thread on one end a female G1/4" thread on the other (can be a pair of female threads too). OCUK doesn't sell them but if you search for "Phobya temperature sensor inner/outer thread G1/4'' with display" you will see what I mean.

The enite area inside the connectors is full of water so it touching and will get a real reading don't worry
