Temp spikes in Everest Ultimate.

I'm seeing a massive CPU temp spike in Everest Ultimate. It goes from 22C -> 51C then back down to 22C in the time taken to read this sentence. The northbridge also spikes to the same temp.

I'm running an EVGA Sli LE, core i7 D0 (at stock - though I noticed it when it was OC'd to 3.2GHz as well. I returned the settings to stock to see if it was anything to do with the overclock)

I don't see any other spikes like this in any other monitoring software: EVGA E-Leet, SpeedFan, or on the LED readout on the board.

I'm not getting any voltage spikes anywhere in the system, and all 4 cores remain stable between 34C and 39C when this happens.

Any ideas?

What about realtemp or coretemp?

Dont see any core spike in any of those programs either.....

Must be an Everest issue, though i'd feel better about it if someone else saw it as well.

Nope tbh i would trust all the others over Everest. 51c is not dangerous anyway.

It's more the delta i'm worried about - if it's hitting 51c at 22c, then when it's maxed out at 45c or 50c it could spike to 74c - 70c. (Assuming that it's a true figure and not some software issue.)

And your cpu usage isn't spiking with temp rises? If it's not happening with other programs your fine.
