So finally got MW2 back and installed it on my new pc and the internets being a pain the ass, cuts out every now and then for no reason it seems. My laptop (which is running XP) doesnt have this issue and I dont think its the router since it stays connected but just says no internet access.

All drivers are up to date etc.

any ideas?

Still massivly frustrated with this. Could it be the network card thats broken/being crap? The reviews on here say its a bit like that.

Can you ping the router while it says 'no internet access'?

If so, try pinging 8.8.8.8 during that time.

When I tryed pinging 8.8.8.8 just had no response, 100% packet loss.

Well its a wireless PCI card I am using, I have tryed it in both my spare PCI slots. Going to try and get hold of a USB wireless thing and test it with that.

My Internet has a tendency to cut out during online play so it'd be worth checking yours too. For example it has a habit of suffering from packet loss everytime a new round starts in TF2. This is using wired ethernet. It could be my router/modem but I'm on Talk Talk so that pretty much expains it...

Go to http://www.pingtest.net/ and see what you get.

This is mine: :D

I really do need to switch ISP.
