Probably been well documented somewhere before but I'm not having much luck finding anything solid.

Is this any problem ? My currently installed E6600 seems to be running about 4 sometimes 5 degrees differnent between Core 0 and Core 1.

Now I'm sure the IHS is seated correctly and the same CPU read much closer temps when I used it in a DS3, wondered if thats anything to do with it.

Should I just forget about it and stop being so paranoid, or try and remedy the problem as its sure to end in TOTAL disaster ? :p

Well I sorted it, now getting 0-2 degrees difference between cores and a drop of about 4 degrees too!

I took off my Tuniq, Re-lapped it so it was Properly flat, brasso'd it to a high shine, reapplied the TIM and everything very carefully, and tightened down my Tuniq a little more than it was previously.

Bingo, now idling @ 36/35c and Load @ 51/50c @ 3.6Ghz
