The temperature diode on your motherboard, directly under your CPU, will be off for one reason or another. If it really bothers you then hit up google and see if it's been fixed in a later BIOS revision. If there's no mention of a fix in a later revision then try powering off the PC, unplugging it from the mains and pressing the power button to get rid of any lingering charge.
Windows based temperature tools are always going to report the same temperature as your BIOS for that particular sensor (tcase temp iirc), however you'll have the added benefit of being able to read the core sensors too. So long as your core temps aren't ridiculously high you'll be fine.
