Not your average How hot is too hot thread.

Just interested to know if there is a limit to how cold data storage such as cd's, dvd's, flash drives, floppy disks, and hard drives can go before they become damaged and loose there data?

Obviously too hot and they will melt lol

Sometimes a failed hard drive can be given a little burst of new life by sticking it in a freezer for a while. Condensation of course will do it no good, but the temperature seems not to harm them.

It's ingenius the old freezer fix for a dead hard drive! have to work quick though! and you are doomed if the os is on the drive especially if it is a slow one lol
