Realtemp or Coretemp?

Ive been reading that Real temp is much more accurate, i hoping so cause with the heating on Coretemp gives 63 deg and Realtemp 58 whilst running prime blend.

Thanks for that, had real temp installed and had forgot to configure it properly.:o Tj max set properly and now giving identical readings as coretemp.:)

Just done mine, Core temp and Real Temp read the same :)

I thought my temps in real temp were to good to be true, both progs now correctly displaying 27-24-23-20.

What cpu are you running, eg for a q6600 the tj max is 100'c. can be found on coretemp. on real temp mine was incorrectly set at 90 something

tj max varies for cpus

wolfdales are 100
old 65nm chips are 105
and most yorkie quads are 90

As for temp programs coretemp and real temp are good when configured

Interesting. So its 90 for a q6600, funnily enough this is what realtemp set its self up as. Which is annyoing cause i just ordered a new cpu cooler based on Coretemp readings whcih are too high lol!
