Just looking for some help.

I have a qx6700 cpu (quad Core) and last week had a problem with a watercooling pump that had packed up,I have replaced that with a Coolit Domino A.L.C system and was wondering what sort of temperatures would be about right.

Idle I tend to get around 35 - 50 degrees depending on the time of day and after playing game for a few hours it can reach up to 70 degrees.

Are these right ?

My mate has a duo core that is fan coloed and stays around 55 degrees after playing games and his is fan cooled.Does room temperatures play that big a part as my room is next to the central heating boiler and tends to get quite hot !

What do you guys think ?

Ambiend temps are important to any type of cooling, be it water or air.

For example my normal temps are 30-35idle, 40 - 50 gaming, 60-65 full load. With a swiftech H20 -120 kit.

Thats an average now if i was to take my computer and put it in my shed late at night those temps would drop by i would say 10-15c, as its freezing in my shed lol.

Not sure what your what cooler ur mate has, but the domino is'nt the best cooler you could use so don't expect spectacular temps, or differences from air cooling.
