Laptop: MSI GE620DX
About time I gave my laptop a service! Got a new Kingston 240GB SSD to replace the old slow HDD. The speed boost is phenomenal.
Now to apply new thermal compound..
Look how the rubbish the existing compound is..
Nice and clean and a small amount for both.
The heatsink back on.
Running Furmark now, the temps are still very high but with the GPU being 92degrees and CPU around the 90 mark. This laptop would have crashed before I reapplied the new compound so this is a good improvement.
The cooling solution isn't great on this laptop but it wasn't intended for heavy games so temps should stay nice and low. Overall the temps have dropped around 10 degrees.
